Welcome to the most beautiful place on earth! There are tons of things to do and see while you are up in New Paltz for this great celebration, while I could go on and on about things to do, people to see and places to eat…I will provide you with my Top 10:

1

Go to P&G’s – go to P&G’s, have a cheese burger and bottle of bud lite – both will be the best you’ve ever had.

2

Check out some farms! While Apple Hill won’t be open yet – you can’t miss Wright’s Farm in Gardiner, Taliaferro Farms CSA in New Paltz, and Wallkill View Farm in New Paltz. All are family run and all have something different to offer.

3

Take a hike – Seriously, get out and explore this beautiful place! I won’t send you up the Crag without a local, but check out Minnewaska State Park, the Wallkill Valley Rail Trial or Mohonk Preserve.

4

Get breakfast at the Bistro – the local’s secrete is to get there before 9:00 am but really any time is great to experience this funky place that people know your order before you sit down.

5

Take a trip up to the Kingston Water Front – if you want to do a little shopping, check out Next Boutique. There are some great restaurants here and a cute little wine bar…who knows Smorgasbord might even be set up by then…beware of Brooklyn Hipsters

6

Go to Robibero Winery – Do you need an explanation?

7

Go to Tuttletown Distillery – You’ve heard of Hudson Valley Baby Bourbon – well the guy that started it all can be found at his distillery in Gardiner, and they’re doing even cooler things now

8

Eat dinner at the Mountain Brauhaus (Pete’s favorite restaurant) the best German food, but they don’t take reservations

9

Get a day pass to Mohonk Mountain House – have tea and cookies at 4:00 pm, take a hike, do the Lemon Squeeze and make sure you get up to the Tower for a breathtaking view of the entire Hudson Valley.

10

Walk around the town of New Paltz – just take it all in, get to know it – find your own favorite spot!
