The Proposal
Meagan: “Hey Pete, what are we doing for our two year anniversary? It’s a special date and I think we should do something this year, and NOT argue over a steak in ShopRite like last year…” Pete: “I have it under control, don’t worry…”
And have it under control, Pete did. A couple of nights before, as the anticipation grew and emotions flared, Meagan again asked, “Are we doing anything or are we going to spend time at home this year?” The answer from Pete remained the same, “I got it under control, don’t worry…” knowing all the while just exactly what adventure was ahead.
Pete knows Meagan from the inside out, he understands and appreciates all of her passions and he loves her unconditionally. Because of this, his plan was to get Meagan back in the saddle and propose. But first he had to get her there, “Would you want to go on an adventure to celebrate?” he asked. Always up for an adventure with Pete, Meagan agreed because of her faith and trust in the great man he has proven to be. They arrived at a Clydesdale farm in the middle of New Jersey, took a trail ride and went on a tour of the barn. It was out in the furthest paddock, when the biggest horse on the farm came trotting over, Pete got down on bended knee, and asked, “Will you marry me?” Meagan realized that this adventure was not just for one day, but for the rest of her life and she said, “Yes!”
